Dr. Aks is a skilled board certified General Surgeon dedicated singularly to the practice of breast disease. Assessment begins with the ability to listen to the patient and understand what it is that she is trying to get across. As a breast specialist she is expertly aware and in tuned to those issues and complaints that affect her patients. A detailed history is just as important as a thorough clinical exam of the breast. She follows a holistic approach, considering the needs of the body and mind.

Testing ranges from laboratory to a myriad of breast imaging options and other more specialized diagnostic tests e.g. ductal lavage and breast endoscopy that are currently done by a select few. Dr. Aks stays on top of the cutting edge in diagnostic tools and has been a local pioneer in her field.
